Check up and glucose screening

Hi baby! Mommy here. Just checking in. Today we have another monthly check up with Dr. Woods. While we are super excited to hear your heart beat again, I am not so excited about the blood glucose screening test I get to take today. I get to chug a super sweet drink in under 5 minutes. Wait an hour and have my blood drawn. If I take to long to drink the syrup, or the technician can't get my blood drawn within the hour I have to redo it! I hope it all goes smooth. On the plus side, your checkup days have turned into date night for daddy and I! Last month we tried a new Chinese restaurant and it was surprisingly very good. Not sure what we'll try tonight but it's always fun to go out and relax and let someone else do the cooking and cleaning while we talk about you!

Snuggles

Sweet little miss, I adore our snuggles! You definitely have a knack for making mommy and daddy feel special. When you get fussy all we have to do is pick you up. I'll put you up to my shoulder and you'll put your little arms around my neck and snuggle in. Sometimes it's all you need to fall asleep. Next week on June 4th I go back to work and you'll be spending your days with my sweet friend Sarah and her two little girls. I know you'll be in good hands while I'm working, but a large part of me is so sad to be giving up my days of snuggling you whenever you need it, and breastfeeding you full time. These precious moments have slipped by too fast and I will miss them with all of my being. I have cherished our 2 months of bonding so much! Mommy loves you Babers

Hi baby E, tomorrow you'll be 1 month old! You are such a sweet little thing. Daddy and I are so in love with you! In this short month you've completely stolen our hearts and we can't imagine life without you in it. You love to lay on daddy's chest and pull his beard, and when you're not making him cringe you're gracing him with your adorable smile. You also gave him your first chuckle yesterday. Not quite a laugh yet, but he'll ask you if something is funny and you'll grin and chuckle at him. You really are a doll. You've been working on tummy time and have become quite strong, holding your head up for over 10 seconds at a time. You love to eat and you seem to have hit a growth spurt. You currently weigh 8 pounds and 9 ounces and are 22 inches long! You turn your head when you hear mommy or daddy talk to you, and you love listening to music and dancing around the living room with mommy.
