Oh Baby!!!

Hi sweet little Bean, I don't know if you got the message, but yesterday I gave you your official eviction notice. Get out of my womb! It's not that I'm tired of being pregnant, ok maybe I am.... Just a smidge, and I'm normally a very patient person! But baby, I am so ready to meet you! You are officially 39 Weeks as of yesterday and we had another appointment with Dr. Woods. He checked my cervix, and said I'm dialated to about one centimeter and effaced 75%!!! You really could come any day now and daddy and I would be more than ok with that! Your aunt's all want to have birthday twins, aunt Misty's birthday is today, the 29th, and aunt Nikki's birthday is tomorrow, the 30th so we've decided we're going bowling tonight to try and get me to go into labor and have you on one of thier birthdays! Dr. Woods said I am cleared to go, but not to be disappointed if you don't show up right away. He also said that if you aren't here by next Wednesda...

I'm sure we all have odd ball days at work once in a while, but today was especially wierd. Not one, not two, but at least 5 different people asked me why I was at work today! Um... To work and get paid? I was also asked several times why I wasn't on maternity leave yet. Probably because you haven't been born yet, lol. I don't get it! Who's telling everyone I'm on leave already? Some mysteries will stay just that I guess!

Hi sweet baby girl! We've got a couple of weeks until your due date and I have to say I am so ready to meet you! You are definitely running out of space. The Doctor assures us you are head down, and your jabs and kicks are getting much stronger! Your tiny toes press into my ribs and your sweet little fists have a crazy knack for finding my hips... Usually the left one, while your noggin likes to bounce on my bladder. Do you know how many times I visit the bathroom? Just to dribble out a teaspoon? TMI I'm sure 😂. But we've been in this together for 8 and a half months, and given your exit route I feel like we can talk about this! Our bags are packed, yours and mine. Of course yours has much cuter outfit options, while mine has things like oversized granny panties and pads for both ends, lol. Stretchy pants and loose tank tops round out my "outfits". You've got sweeter options like jammies with adorable toes and onsies proclaiming you to be the cutest thing e...

I love good news! We went to the dr's on the 7th expecting to be scheduling a c-section for the following week because of the placenta previa. The ultrasound technician didn't say much but did a lot of measurements and got us some more wonderful 3-D photos of your sweet face. When we went in to talk to Dr. Woods about the ultrasound he surprised us both! The placenta not only moved completely off the cervix, but it kept right on going another 2 centimeters!!!! While I still need to take it easy, Dr says I can walk a bit more and no more baby sitters for me when daddy needs a break! We also get to go full term and as long as there's no complications we shouldn't need a C-section! We were so excited we went out to dinner at Olive Garden to celebrate the great news! Your due date is so close and we can't wait to meet you little one! Love, Mommy

Things are getting real, real quick! Your room is ready. Your clothes through 12 months? Ready! High chair, bassinet, bouncers, play pen, pack and play, all ready. Diaper bag? Packed times two! Car seat is strapped in the car, shades are on the windows and mirror attached to the back seat. Everything we could think of and lots of things we didn't think of (but someone else did!) all await your arrival. All that's missing is you right now! I don't want to rush you. I want you to stay where you are as long as you need. I want you to grow and thrive. I want to feel you kick and wiggle. I want to feel you hiccup just one more time. Because I know little one, that I will miss this feeling something fierce once you're born. We find out next Wednesday if my placenta has moved or not. If it hasn't we could be bringing you into the world in just a couple of weeks! Eeek! Ready or not here you come!
